Drain unblocking in Orihuela Costa: summer kitchens and bungalow inspection chambers

It is the job we are asked for most here. In July and August the kitchens of the bungalows in La Zenia and Playa Flamenca take the oil from ten meals a day and the horizontal run to the inspection chamber plugs up. We unblock a kitchen sink, shower or toilet for €70-120, with an electric spring machine for €110-180 and with a camera if the problem is in the garden chamber. More on drain unblocking in Orihuela Costa.

Locksmith in Orihuela Costa: cylinder changes between tenants

The houses in Villamartín, Los Dolses and Lomas de Cabo Roig change guests every week in season, and every key handover is a risk. We change the bombín (lock cylinder) for €40-60 in labour plus an anti-bump cylinder from €35, open slammed doors without damage (€60-90 in the daytime) and remove broken keys (€40-70). We fit Nuki or Yale smart locks so you can manage access from abroad. See locksmith in Orihuela Costa.

Awnings and fly screens in Orihuela Costa: the sun punishes them

The folding-arm awnings on the 1990s and 2000s townhouses reach the end of their fabric at eight or ten years: we replace the fabric up to 4 metres for €150-300 with fabric included, swap snapped arms (€90-160) and motorise with a Somfy remote. Sliding fly screens on garden doors lose their mesh and rollers: €25-45 for new mesh, €45-80 for a screen fitted. Pages for awnings and fly screens.

Roller shutter repair in Orihuela Costa

The bungalows in Punta Prima, La Florida and Las Filipinas have PVC persianas (roller shutters) on straps with an internal box. We replace the strap for €35-60, replace sun-scorched slats (€50-100 for 1-3 slats) and refit shutters that have come out of the guide (€50-120). If the axle has gone, we replace it for €80-150. Details on roller shutter repair.

Plumber in Orihuela Costa: cisterns and taps after months closed

The Vega Baja's water is hard and a house closed from October to May comes back with a cistern that will not shut off, a seized garden tap and the water heater's flexi hose weeping. We replace cistern mechanisms (€60-110), taps (€45-80 in labour) and flexi hoses, and check the main stopcock before the family arrives. More on plumber.

Painters in Orihuela Costa: freshening the house before letting

Between one season and the next the house needs a refresh: walls scuffed by suitcases, bathroom ceilings with mould, rusty terrace railings. We paint walls in white for €6-8/m², walls and ceilings for €8-10/m² and use anti-damp paint in bathrooms. A 90 m² townhouse comes to between €800 and €1,500. See painters.

Handyman by the hour and holiday-home maintenance

For British, Irish and Norwegian owners who live abroad we do a monthly check of the house for €45-80 a month: run the taps, check cisterns, awnings, locks and the alarm, and send photos. We assemble garden furniture, redo silicone and hang things by the hour: first hour €35-45, following hours €28-35. We work in English. See handyman by the hour.

Orihuela Costa urbanisations and nearby areas

We work along the whole coastal strip of the municipality: Playa Flamenca, La Zenia, Villamartín, Cabo Roig, Campoamor, Punta Prima, Los Dolses, La Florida, Las Filipinas, Mil Palmeras and Lomas de Cabo Roig. We know the pool communities and their access hours, and we know that many keys are held by agencies along the N-332.

To the south we reach Dehesa de Campoamor and Pilar de la Horadada; inland, San Miguel de Salinas. Torrevieja has its own page with prices and areas: handyman in Torrevieja. If your house is in Ciudad Quesada or Rojales, we come from the same base too.

Response time in Orihuela Costa: 25-45 minutes

The team covering the Vega Baja is based in Torrevieja, so we reach Playa Flamenca or La Zenia in 25 minutes and Mil Palmeras or Campoamor in 40-45. Hours Monday to Sunday 8am to 9pm. Outside those hours we attend locksmith and drain emergencies with a surcharge.

Send us a photo and the address of the urbanisation by WhatsApp (the street name and house number help more than the commercial name of the development). We give you a fixed price, come the same day or within 24 hours, take payment on completion in cash, by card, Bizum or bank transfer and leave an invoice with IVA and a 6-month written guarantee.
